In the last years Gorguts' Colored Sands has climbed the ranks to be one of my favorite songs of all time (and the surrounding album likewise). Amazing intense atmosphere, great structure, rich dissonant harmony, and I find the topic of the sand mandala and the buddhist thoughts on ephemerality deeply enticing as well.
