#firefox aims to support MV3 end of January https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2022/11/17/manifest-v3-signing-available-november-21-on-firefox-nightly/, while #googlechromestore will drop the featured badge in January if you don’t support MV3 https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/mv3/mv2-sunset/. so basically forcing devs to support MV2 and MV3 at the same time or ignoring one or the other userbase. some coordination would be nice.
