Apple users can nominate a “legacy contact” who can access your account’s data after you die. Google users can share their data with someone if their account becomes inactive. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok let people request that accounts of deceased users be turned into memorial accounts, which means no one can log in or make posts but friends and family can still honor their memories.
