The "Global Media and Information Literacy Week" #GlobalMILWeek is a #UN event to be commemorated every year, October 24th to 31st.

This year, the festivities will be hosted in #Amman, #Jordan, on Wednesday and Thursday, next week.

Its shiny agenda and sessions make a nauseating contrast to what happens in the neighborhood, in #Gaza, where 87% of all school buildings require full reconstruction or major rehabilitation, while the rest must serve as makeshift shelters for civilians fleeing from death. And still, some courageous teachers are risking their lives by sustaining makeshift schools for children, in camps.
