Spent this week celebrating #ReadAcrossAmerica with the students of Irving ISD in Texas.

We hosted Sister Circle literacy events for 6th graders at Lamar and Johnson Middle Schools featuring author Leticia Ordaz. I also had a blast reading to Kindergarten classes at Hanes Elementary—Axolotl and Axolittle by Jess Hitchman, Mermaids are the Worst by Alex Willan, and I Hate Everything by Sophy Henn were huge hits!

Supporting our public school libraries is essential.
