#Southeastern has unveiled the first refreshed Class 376 #train, featuring a new blue livery and energy-efficient LED lighting, marking the first milestone in a full mid-life upgrade of all 36 units in partnership with #Alstom and Eversholt Rail. The multi-million-pound refurbishment will include refurbished seating and at-seat power by the end of the year, enhancing comfort and convenience for passengers on Metro routes across South East #London. This upgrade forms part of Southeastern’s wider fleet improvement plan, which also includes a £27m refurbishment of the Class 395 Javelin fleet, the addition of Class 377 trains, and plans to retrofit toilets to Class 707 units. The refreshed trains are being upgraded at the #Gillingham Maintenance Centre, with full interior and exterior enhancements due to roll out progressively over the coming months.
