Geoeconomic confrontation — ranging from sanctions to tariffs — is the top threat, found the World Economic Forum (WEF)'s Global Risks Report on the eve of its annual meeting gathering the world's business and political elites, set to take place in Davos next week.
New data from the #GlobalRiskReport 2025 by the World Economic Forum:
State-based #ArmedConflict is seen by 23% of the 909 experts responding from around the world as the most #likely global risk to present a material #crisis on a global scale in 2⃣0⃣2⃣5⃣.
#ExtremeWeather #events are the most likely crisis in 2025 for 14% of respondents.
A #geoeconomic #confrontation is the 3rd most likely risk (8%).
