Do we know of any studies underway looking at LongCOVID & anaesthesia? Or any experts in #POTS or #ME/CFS & #anaesthesia?
I feel that this tsunami of disability is coming our way and we are under prepared.
Summary of my quick lit review: old papers (>10 yrs) retrospective case series/single case reports.
POTS: expect hypotension.
ME/CFS: Avoid meds I haven’t used in ages: thiopentone, morphine. Avoid histamine releasers
