The Beach Inspector

Garylucas Beach in Co Cork was hit by 40kph winds this afternoon, with tall waves crashing on the beach. I took a few photos but retreated to the car as it was so cold. Within minutes the wind had ripped right through me.

Luckily, gulls are protected somewhat from the cold by their feathers and this gull stood in the water without a care in the world for several minutes.

The Atlantic Manor Hotel Demolished
The Atlantic Manor Hotel stood for many a year at Garrettstown in Co. Cork and is even still listed on a travel website but it is gone now. Ryan visited there a while back and took some great interior shots of the decaying ruins before they disappeared. Check out his Flickr album too.

Horse is a picky eater

Down by Garrettstown Beach in Co Cork I spotted a horse in a field. He was by himself and I went over to say hi, and take his photo.

He’s obviously had enough of people taking his photo, or maybe he ate something unpleasant, to judge by the look on his face. 🙂
