BlairFor this week’s #ThursdayBooksandBeer I’m reading Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 examination of the dissolution of 60s radicalism in Reagan’s 1980s, Vineland. This was Pynchon’s first novel since 1973’s Gravity’s Rainbow and is the inspiration for the new Paul Thomas Anderson film One Battle After Another, which I’ll be seeing next week. Carwyn Cellars didn’t have any Californian beers on tap, so I’ve gone for a Garage Project ‘Tūtaki Haze’ Hazy IPA to fit the drug-fuelled ambiance of the novel. #reading #literature #pynchon #vineland #onebattleafteranother #craftbeer #garageproject
