Well, that was an interesting journey home from #Bristol to #Bath this evening. #GWR trains pulled a switcheroo on us and sent us via #Swindon after an apparent #heatwave-triggered signal failure blocked the mainline. Fortunately both trains had air-con.

I’m cautiously excited about this news. I’ve been using the Plymouth to London line for almost 20 years, and in that time it’s only gotten less reliable and more expensive.

So please, please let this result in better consistency, nicer trains, and generally better pricing.

Driving to London shouldn’t be the cheaper / more effective option.
