The statutory #DelayRepay mechanism for UK train company #GreatWesternRailway in effect via their website is almost certainly designed to be deliberately obfuscatory to put people off making legitimate claims when suffering delayed trains.
Incredibly poor UX. I can't imagine many people actually willing to persist with it. The equivalent mechanism on state-owned #LNER is much better from a user perspective.
Edit: typo. Probably still a few to find.

Just booked a return ticket from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington with GWR. Except I didn't, because 2 singles work out to be 65% of the price.
What a mess train pricing is.

Glasto Stars and Fans make Train Pledge
The likes of Sam Ryder, Greentea Peng, Self Esteem and the Nova Twins got on board with a campaign to make event travel greener this week by traveling via rail to Glastonbury Festival.
They were just some of the artists alongside many revellers who signed up to the ‘I came by train’ pledge for this weekend’s Glastonbury Festival.
The campaign says that rail travel emits 67% less CO2 than driving, and that travelling from London to Edinburgh by rail saves the equivalent emissions as a fortnight of going vegan.
Ryder unveiled a GWR locomotive renamed ‘Train Ryder’ to kick off the campaign in respect to Glasto and he was seen singing along with festival-goers on board the train as they headed to Worthy Farm.
“I’m proud to be part of a campaign that celebrates travel that’s better for the planet,” said Ryder.
Earlier this week I posted a report which showed the existing capability to reduce emissions from festivals by 98% – from a real life case study carried out by Massive Attack last year. Encouraging people to travel by train was a big part of that.
It’s been a good week for encouraging train travel as just days ago @stefanlindbohm announced the public beta launch of Railfinder which he dubbed, ‘the first step towards that one booking site for trains across Europe that we all dream of.’
