Terminal Velocity was released 30 years ago in May 1995. A Windows version was released later in September as Fury3, which was the first game to run natively in Windows 95.

Playing this coming from X-Wing and TIE Fighter, this game was different and much simpler. But it plays a lot like Quake in a fighter plane, which was a real blast.

I always remembered Microsoft Fury3 as being one of the earliest games natively running under Windows 95.

I honestly never knew this game also supported Windows 3.1! And I was even more surprised to learn that it even runs today on Windows 11 without any emulation.

Fury3's still fun in 2024! 😉
