Those are paint flakes from #Furthur
The last few shows where I heard Bob Weir and Phil Lesh

After I moved to Europe in the summer of 1991, I only saw The Grateful Dead four more times: three times at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island (31 March to 2 April 1993, with Barney the Dinosaur pretending to play bass on "Iko Iko" on April Fool's Day), and once

Soooo, here's some more Grateful Dead music, this time the incarnation Furthur Band with Bobby and Phil.

Three CDs worth of great sound quality from a weekend of live shows at Angel's Camp in CA.

Full Grateful Dead albums with great guest performers.

The frogs of Calaveras County enjoyed too.

As usual, Elvis’s banter was engaging, and he remarked on having first played Radio City in 1984, and also how he sat in with Furthur at Radio City (that would be 3/27/11) and how his partner Diana Krall did too, with Elvis specifically mentioning her singing Fever and Ripple.

A note on Elvis’s voice, which seems to be evolving into an even more unique and eccentric instrument. It’s aging well, like Dylan’s. (4/x)

Simple poster I made when I saw Furthur in St. Louis. I remember thinking "it would be nice to find a poster with Steal Your Face logos for musical notes floating above the skyline."

Then I realized I couldn't depend on other people making what I wanted, so I made it myself.

In this interview he mentions #jazz influence so here’s my little jazz story with Steve.

When he was with #Furthur in 2000 my wife and I hung out backstage with him at the #GreensboroColiseum.

It was around dinner time, so we went over to the dining room.

After I heard #Furthur's 1st show in Sept, 2009, I got tickets to shows at 1stBank Center...in spite of the voices in my head saying "it's not the real thing!" Never been that kind of a purist, anyway.

The shows at 1stBank Center & Red Rocks that year were trippy! #JohnKadlecik (from #DarkStarOrchestra) channeled Jerry...I would close my eyes during a solo & felt like I was at a show in '77/'78. Other people at the shows confirmed this, can't imagine what it was like for Bobby or Phil.

I actually have a community on #SecondLife to thank for really kicking my "deadhead-edness" into high gear. When I joined (May, 2005), there was a sim called DarkStar that was.....a #deadhead playground, is the best way I can describe it.

They had a lot laid-out with vendor stalls, a Mars Hotel with an LSD museum, a replication of 710 Ashbury, an amphitheater with the Wall of Sound...they really went all-out.

Through them, I learned about #Furthur...
