I've celebrated this show before I think, but The Walter Martin Radio Hour is a wondrous weekly hour of music. I'm catching up - currently listening to Episode 10, the 'Dance Party.' Selections include Shirley Ellis, the Troggs, Joe Cuba, Doris Troy, CCR, and more.
It airs on 97.7 WEXT Amsterdam (NY) but can also be found here:

This is an interesting dive into some of the more technical aspects of how decentralised Bluesky is (isn't), which goes out of its way to be fair and assumes more good faith than I would to be honest.
The main part I didn't know already is that hosting a "relay" means you must mirror *all* content on the network (4TB+).
There is no reason to do so, in terms of anything useful it allows you to do. But the "decentralisation" claim relies on people doing it anyway.
November has sucked so far. One upside of the terrible nonsense is that more people are fleeing X. Many are choosing Bluesky. I’ve seen a bunch of takes about this recently, but I keep seeing things I disagree with. I figure that’s a good enough excuse to write more about this weird-assed social network.
Stuart Bogie on clarinet and Buck McDaniel on organ performing/improvising November Variations this morning at the Church of Our Saviour on Park Ave and 38th St. Gorgeous and timeless and other worldly.
Thank you Phil.
The few bucks I gave comes nowhere close to matching the joy this person’s music has given me.

Man, California Earthquake. One of my favorites.
Even though it’s a Rodney Crowell song, the lyrics are quintessentially Dead: in imagery, subject matter, and attitude
