So Peter Dutton wants us to boycott Woolworths, because they are putting profit first and not selling merchandise about the 26th of January and he doesn’t agree with it.
Does this mean I am allowed to boycott Israeli products because I don’t agree with the ongoing slaughter of civilians?
Or am I stupid for trying to link the two, as obviously Woolworths is a far more egregious crime according to Murdoch and the LNP.

It's fucking disheartening to witness the fallout from ignoring climate warnings for years. From an Australian perspective The LNP obsession with short-term gains, masked as 'jobs, jobs, jobs,' has landed us in a mess with bloody bushfires, floods, and insurance costs that are through the roof. Certain regions are practically screwed, facing uninsurability. Agricultural areas are getting wiped out by floods, frosts, hail, or scorching sunburn. It's high time to wake up to the consequences of this inaction. Governments are throwing military and emergency funds into the mix to deal with the escalating climate crisis, and tropical diseases are spreading south, making things even more messed up. The true cost is hitting hard, and it's not just environmental; it's a kick in the guts for our economy and community well-being.
And let's not forget the baby boomers, the generation that seems to have dodged the worst of it by conveniently kicking the bucket. They truly were the worst, enjoying the benefits while leaving the mess for the rest of us to clean up. It's a bitter pill to swallow, knowing they escaped the brunt of the consequences they helped create and when I say created I mean voting in the LNP federally for most of the last 30 years.
My beef with boomers might be a tad exaggerated. I won’t whine about avocado toast now, but if the day arrives when I can’t smash avo anymore, watch out, blood might flow – over brunch!

@jmcleod linking Albanese to the West Connex debacle is just rude as is blaming his government for the neglect of the last decade. The Australian public isn’t that stupid no matter how much the media oligarchs rail against him.
Is this government achieving what it set out to do? I think so. The last few LNP govts had no policy agenda at all except to syphon public funds into the offshore bank accounts of themselves and their mates.
This is what happens with neo-liberal ideology, you turn the public servant employment into a job instead of a career or vocation. Outsource a lot of their work to your mates in the private sector and then give those remaining, examples of civil and moral duty by appointing dregs to your cabinet and having mostly pond scum for your backbenchers, who would rather protect themselves than do any good work.
Fish rots from the head down.
