Admiral BademeisterHabs sogar noch in 2024 geschafft, #FromTheDepths komplett durchzulesen & muss sagen: ich bin auch im Nachhinein begeistert! Von 15 Geschichten fand ich nur eine wirklich schlecht (weil sie ursprünglich gar nicht als Fiction geschrieben wurde, wenn ich mich nicht verlesen hab). Ein Text hatte ein sehr unerwartetes Ende, war aber gut. Der Rest, darunter auch mehrere Erzählungen von Frauen, hat durchgehend schaurige Freude beim Lesen bereitet. Könnte sowas die ganze Zeit lesen. #AdmiralsLektüre
Gestern Abend dann noch die wahrscheinlich letzte #AdmiralsLektüre des Jahres angefangen: die Kurzgeschichtensammlung #FromTheDepths (British Library 2018, ed. Mike Ashley) ist das letzte ungelesene Mitbringsel aus dem diesjährigen Schottland-Urlaub - und nach den ersten zwei Erzählungen zu urteilen, eine wunderbare Zusammenstellung von Ideen für schaurige Rollenspielabenteuer zur See. Genau mein Fall.
