Taiwanin seuraava edustaja Suomessa on näemmä entinen lainsäätäjä, aktivisti ja metallimuusikko Freddy "Left Face of Maradou" Lim, joka tunnetaan maailmallakin Chthonic-yhtyeen laulajana. Ulkoministeri Lin Chia-lungin mukaan Limillä on hommaan vaadittavaa kansainvälistä perspektiiviä ja kokemusta erityisesti ihmisoikeusdiplomatiasta. Міністерство закордонних справ Тайваню нещодавно оголосило про це призначення. Freddy is best known as lead singer of the metal band ChthoniC. He has also had a long career in politics.
During his two terms as a legislator he was a member of the Foreign and National Defense Committee. He has also made multiple overseas trips representing Taiwan.
Freddy Lim (林昶佐), a rock singer turned politician, has been tapped by Taiwan's government as the country's next representative to Finland, a source in local diplomatic circles said Saturday.
