Cessna O-2A Skymaster. This military version of the Cessna 337 Super Skymaster saw active service in Vietnam and other theatres of war in the Forward Air Control role. Versatile, and much loved by its crews, there was also an O-2B 'psyops' version, equipped with powerful loudspeakers and a leaflet dispenser. This O-2A is seen at the Plymouth Airshow in Massachusetts, USA, and is shown with a typical load of white phosporus rockets, used to mark enemy targets. Cessna OA-37B Dragonfly, 182nd TASG, Illinois ANG, Peoria, Illinois, 1982 The Dragonfly - sometimes called 'SuperTweet' - was slower than other jet combat aircraft in Vietnam, but proved to be a satisfactory close air support aircraft. It was also sometimes used in the airbourne Foward Air Control role, as well as light attack and COIN operations. The ejection seats had 'armor', and the aircraft had nylon 'flak curtains' in the cockpit.
