🫧 The #fluval waterpump and filter device was noisy yesterday... At the shop they had told us that the top had to be above the water line. Well... on the manual, there were illustrations showing that the pump could even be laid flat on the ground of the aquarium... 🙄So... we lowered the pump+filter to be fully immersed. And now it makes less noise! 👍
📦 Yesterday, we receive some #moss, more #plants, 2 thin azalea branches and a pipette and scissors. (from #swellUK)
🌱 A #gardening session also took place last night!
And I can now use the #mosstodon hashtag! 😜
2 different #aquaticmoss:
Taxiphyllum (barbieri Bogor Moss)
Vesicularia (ferriel Weeping Moss)
Also has some Lilaeopsis brasiliensis which I thought were a type of moss - but probably not... 🤷‍♀️
😍 Little Red plant is cute and is Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini'.

💧Water is less troubled, I added "BioBoost" last night, maybe it helped?
🫧 The #fluval waterpump and filter device seems to have a life of its own: I set it on the lowest flow speed, and sometimes, it decides to go full throttle with lots of air bubbles... It needs more investigation to understand what is going on with this pump...
📦 Today, we should receive some #moss (people here should appreciate! 😆 ), 2 thin branches and a pipette and scissors.

🥳 We've just setup our #FishTank
It's a #Fluval #roma 125L
It's got plants, 🌋lava stones (red and black) and a piece of bog wood that keeps on floating even if we did soak it in got water for 2 days... Hence the stone on top 😅.
This photograph was taken yesterday.
💧Today the water looks a bit troubled... I would suspect the soil to be the reason.
🌿Two plants had to be put back in the substrate (and the water flow reduced until the roots do their job).
When it's cycled, we'd like to get some shrimps and then some easy to care for fish 🐟🐠

Had an aquarium disaster in November, when a 65-gallon drained into the basement. This time, set up a flood detector on the home alarm system with on the new canister filter. These things are reliable, but it sucks bad when they're not.

New one has been running for about a week. Woke up to an ear-splitting alarm at 3am and about two inches of water in the bucket. It's so slow, it probably took almost all week.

Is Fluval no good anymore?

I have a 30gal aquarium (110L), fairly planted, with diy co2 and about 10 prisoners inside + rcs for the past 2 years. Last year i had found an #Eden 522 in the trash (cannister filter) and after some cleaning it worked like a charm until the plastic pipe connector broke last week. I couldn't fix it properly so off I went on the quest for a new filter.
