I have shifted my craft store focus from the floating habitats to my new Aqua Creatures! Using large mouthed glass and plastic jars adorned with shells, acrylic gems, glow in the dark stones, faux pearls and aquarium plants all held together with only 100% fish safe silicone glue. from Music on a Budget

This is the sound video version of one in a series of pieces from the Music On a Budget series by Gustavo Matamoros. Sound Consumption documents the transformation of a wooden match as it burns, audible from the match’s perspective. The video was first screened as part of In a Fishtank, a 50-minute long work created for the Interpretation Series at the request of Thomas Buckner and performed in December 1996 at Merkin Hall in NYC.
