Harakeke has flowered. There was a tauhou sniffing around this harakeke and the wharariki next to it but by the time I figured out I’d left the camera lens in manual focus mode it had left.

It’s been a low energy few days but I kept my hands occupied!

Dug out a dusty bag of flax top fibre, my cobwebbed drop spindle and got to work learning (or continuing to learn) spinning by hand. Here’s my humble first tiny cake of 2 ply cordage. Coarse, uneven but cute. 😝

No idea what I’m going to use it for ha.
