Přesné astronomické výpočty ukazují, že nový srpek Měsíce, označující příchod nového měsíce Šawwál, bude možné kdekoli na světě pozorovat až v úterý 9.dubna.

Úterý tedy bude posledním postním dnem a svátek přerušení půstu (Ídu-l-fitr) bude, dá-li Bůh, ve středu, 10.dubna.
