Actually it's a long, narrow rock, with a beacon tower on top to warn ships when rocks submerged beneath the tide. But it really does look like an old sub!

It's eerie crossing the Tay Bridge, and seeing the piers for the original, lapped by the cold, tidal waters that swallowed a train and passengers one stormy night, as the old bridge gave way.
