@mountainduckapp It took as a more time than planned to implement proper support using macOS #FileProvider and Windows #CloudFiles APIs but we are happy with the result 🚅

Who has experience with using #iOS #Shortcuts in combination with third-party cloud storage integrated into iOS Files app (a.k.a. #FileProvider)? 📣😁

I investigated on #Nextcloud on iOS not working with iOS Shortcuts to enable power users with some automation. It appears to me, that there is a common problem except for iCloud Drive and Dropbox. Does anyone have other experiences?

See my GitHub issue for my notes about different cloud providers: https://github.com/nextcloud/ios/issues/3261

I'm not using anything like that 🤷

I’m on Team Storage with @ismh as I’m listening to Connected’s “I Like Clock” ep. https://overcast.fm/+FXx4OZ0qI/58:05

This segment feels like the @tbridge intervention on one of our #DnD sessions when I brought up MBP storage prices / limitations and the failings of File Provider / file sync when it comes to expandable storage.

Federico’s iOS and iPadOS 17 review is out. The guys talk through it this week before Myke puts Stephen on blast for his Mac setup.

The error — buried at the end of the txt file referenced in that dialog was basically the version of Dropbox, yes that one that asked me to do this, was "too old".

I tried the latest version — nope, no go, tried the latest beta, that worked. It setup my new #FileProvider backed Dropbox but left my old one intact, never moved it. So I had to clean that up and make an alias in my home directory for any busted paths that I might bump into…

I just filed FB11980196 to #apple to report that the latest #macos #ventura update is still so buggy that #spotlight can’t open files from third-party cloud storage (i.e., ones that rely on the #fileprovider APIs) or their containing folder, even though I’ve set them to always be available locally.

I can search for and open the files using a terminal or Finder, they show up on Spotlight results, but since they are “managed" by #onedrive, I have to click through Finder and open them there.
