‘Goldilocks Redux’, oils, fabric. Goldilocks is a nursery story not a fairy tale and it has a dark dark background. In the earliest versions three fully grown male bears tried to drown Goldilocks, then they tried to burn her but in the end they simply impaled her on a church steeple. Lost in the forest all the wanted was a bite to eat and a place to rest. Patriarchal arseholes, those bears.
