During the summer I stopped being able to raise my front passenger side window.
Money was tight, it seemed like an expensive thing to get fixed. I taped a little note "Window" to my dashboard to remind me to reach over to close that window so rain wouldn't get in my car.
Months later people in a Honda Civic forum told me the problem could be solved by replacing the driver's side windows switch assembly. It could be done with a screw driver.
Did that today, all the windows work again. Total cost: ~$19 USD.

Rescued from the 'recycle me' corner of my apartment blocks garbage room.
Fully working, but totally gummed up with grease and hair. An hour's cleaning (2 bathloads of filthy horrible water) and some care reassembling. Plus liberal use of duct tape to repair the broken air channel inside the case that had filled it with crud in the first place..
My hot take:
Twitter and 4Chan will be indistinguishable in less than a month.
