Un blackout lampo ha lasciato milioni di utenti con lo smartphone in mano, senza riuscire a inviare messaggi o aggiornare i feed. Nelle ultime ore, WhatsApp, Facebook e Instagram hanno subito un’interruzione simultanea dei servizi, con segnalazioni che sono cresciute in pochi minuti fino a saturare i grafici di Downdetector. A raccontarlo è Hdblog, secondo cui i problemi non si limitano a singoli dispositivi o app, ma sembrano interessare l’infrastruttura dei servizi Meta in Italia.
Le segnalazioni raccolte mostrano sintomi diversi ma coevi: utenti impossibilitati ad accedere alle piattaforme, messaggi bloccati o non consegnati, feed e storie che non si aggiornano. La distribuzione geografica conferma che il disservizio è diffuso: le grandi città registrano il maggior numero di segnalazioni, ma casi isolati emergono da ogni regione.
Le segnalazioni di malfunzionamenti per TIM, WINDTRE, Vodafone e Fastweb crescono, il che suggerisce che l’interruzione possa avere un’origine legata all’infrastruttura condivisa, in parte appoggiata a Open Fiber.
Meta al lavoro dopo il blackout dei social
Gli esperti ricordano che quando più piattaforme e operatori mostrano anomalie nello stesso momento, è molto probabile che si tratti di un problema tecnico centralizzato e non di guasti isolati. I tecnici Meta, sempre secondo quanto riportato da Hdblog, sono già al lavoro per riportare i servizi alla normalità.
Nel frattempo, gli utenti continuano a condividere l’esperienza sui social, ironia della sorte, a testimonianza di quanto sia ormai diventata centrale la comunicazione digitale nella vita quotidiana.

In the past few hours, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram have experienced a simultaneous service outage, with reports increasing in minutes to saturate Downdetector charts. According to Hdblog, the problems do not limit themselves to individual devices or apps, but appear to affect Meta’s infrastructure in Italy.
The reports collected show different but simultaneous symptoms: users unable to access the platforms, messages blocked or undelivered, feeds and stories that do not update. The geographical distribution confirms that the service disruption is widespread: major cities register the largest number of reports, but isolated cases emerge from every region.
Reports of malfunctions for TIM, WINDTRE, Vodafone and Fastweb are growing, suggesting that the outage may have an origin linked to the shared infrastructure, partially supported by Open Fiber.
Meta working after the social blackout
Experts point out that when multiple platforms and operators show anomalies at the same time, it is very likely to be a centralized technical problem and not isolated failures. Meta technicians, according to Hdblog, are already working to restore services to normal.
Meanwhile, users continue to share the experience on social media, the irony of the situation being a testament to how central digital communication has become in everyday life.
