this Elisa Hategan essay about how Caryma Fayez Sa'd & Adam Lee Wasserman tried to weaponize the cops against an Indigenous veteran on National Day for Truth & Reconciliation - & how they merely cosplay as journalists - is pretty revealing

"It’s about calling out “journalism” that sweeps egregious conflicts of interest under the carpet in favour of churning out fearmongering, incendiary clickbait that stokes the flames of hatred at the expense of truth & impartiality." https://elisahategan.substack.com/p/axes-to-grind-antifa-vs-toronto-police

AXES TO GRIND: Is Antifa or Toronto Police Caryma Sa’d’s Biggest Enemy?

Witnessing the Evolution of a Lie in Real Time is a Wild Ride

Elisa’s Newsletter

five days ago, the venerable UofT student newspaper The Varsity posted an article that interviewed me at some length about
(a) being doxxed by Caryma Fayez Sa'd and Adam Lee Wassermam — for showing up to an anti-fascist counterprotest against white nationalists — which resulted in
(b) a chilling death threat, and
(c) multiple people writing to UofT administrators and HR and my Chair trying to get me fired for my personal political beliefs.

in response, Caryma threatened The Varsity with legal action and — maybe relatedly — the newspaper pulled the article off its website.

But, the internet is forever:-

PSA: I'm starting to mute those journalists who don't know how to use hashtags.

I don't care how many bloody Pulitzer prizes for journalism you won. If you don't know how to use hashtags, you're not a journalist.
