Infosec Exchange now has a Meetup analog for the Fediverse!!!

Instead of creating a separate Mastodon account for your hacker group or local infosec networking event, create one on meetups.infosec.exchange!
It uses Mobilizon (which uses ActivityPub) and can be followed by any other Fediverse software, including Mastodon!

But I have to make sure... in all seriousness and sincerity... I do not like the idea of overloading you or burning you out. So... please only do this if its not too much trouble. I can support monetarily and by using it / testing it, etc. But still don't want to overwhelm you.
@hacks4pancakes - #FXBGHackers is in Fredericksburg, VA and meets each month. We make very intentional efforts to attract folks from all walks of life and demographics. We've got a lot to improve on, but its a topic the organizers are always discussing.

I did go to #FXBGHackers and do a live demo on spinning up a vpn that you control in order to bypass geoblocking from porn sites...
...cause apparently you're not allowed to view porn sites in Virginia anymore.
Everything is silly. Just proper silly.
Sooooo #Virginia just fucked up access to porn sites (TO PROTECT THE CHILDREN!!!).
Legislatures have no idea how tech works.
It's like your uncle who has too much malware on his Windows 8 laptop and thinks TikTok is nothing but young women dancing provocatively (oh those algorithms do tell, don't they!).
