At the hotel in Houston dealing with some stuff for my father. My wife brought the kids for one night.

Wife: Are you gonna go to the lobby?

Me: I wasn’t planning on it.

Wife: If you were, you could get me some candy.

Wife: But I don’t need it. I’m just bored. I’m euglycemic.

Later.

Wife: So…lobby? Candy?

Me: I thought you were euglycemic!

Wife: Yes but I’m hypohappy!

Have been dark for safety reasons*, resurfacing because emergency critical help need.

UPDATE3: Car insurance cancelled as of midnight last night. And out of groceries; need to do a BJ's run for things like milk, eggs, flour, coffee, etc; staples, you know? GFM is "still processing" help from 3-4 days ago. (That's food if it doesn't get eaten by fees. I xfer things to the bank at the last second to mitigate that when I can, but it doesn't always work.)

Trying to figure out how to pay for an in-person doc appointment, too, since there's a (fortunately VERY cheap) med refill I need but they won't until I see them in person again.

I do have some actually viable job leads finally; pivoting a bit and finding out what "things I am fish-swimming-level good at" is called as a job title helped A LOT.

Still jobhunting for something steady. Temps high 90s-100s all this week and into next. Utilities shut off very soon, including power (Friday) and water (any time now.) If those shut off, four figures each to get back on. Plus 'net/phone.

UPDATE2: Phone ($100) turns off tomorrow (29th). Bank fees attacked, and I do not appreciate companies that force ACH payment and sit on it for a week, thereby causing more fees. Car insurance is up a creek.

UPDATE: Water, power, net stay on. I think phone as well if bank fees didn't attack. THANK YOU. Cats are fed, too; there are many many appreciative and grateful purrs and nuzzles.

Now need to figure human food. Ramen is apparently bad for my system. Fortunately I cook, but nearly out of staples (flour, sugar, milk, etc.)

EDIT: I have more advice than I know what to do with thank you so much, I'll hopefully be able to convince her to let me back up and wipe the phone. If she doesn't consent to that, I also have some good direction on detecting anything malicious. Thank you again <3

ORIGINAL POST: Can anyone point me toward some resources on detecting and removing stalkerware on Android?

A friend of a friend has just gotten out of an abusive relationship and I've been asked the look over their phone and computer for any stalkerware the ex might have planted. I'm fairly confident in my abilities on a PC, but not an android phone.
