I am doing some research on extensive reading libraries in schools and hope to hear from people who have tried to start an extensive reading library but had trouble getting it off the ground and successfully integrating it into the curriculum. This questionnaire is completely anonymous and the responses will be used for future academic presentations and/or academic papers.

Unsuccessful Extensive Reading Libraries

Just got my acceptance for the #KOTESOL conference the end of April. Just a poster but gonna be some work to do. Looking at Simple English Wikipedia for #ExtensiveReading but also #NarrowReading and collaboration possibilities. Hope to just connect with a few people who might get active on that wiki. We need some teachers there.

I’m not only running the #Japanese #bookclub at my university, I’ve also created the website www.dokushoclub.com with all Japanese reading resources I gathered over the last 2 years.

I noticed that a big issue for learners was finding the right text, book or #manga for their abilities, so everything is listed by #JLPT level and I comment on #furigana, grammar and the range of vocabulary in my #bookreview s.
