Folks, i need a job or a contract so bad. I'm a full-stack developer, i work in several frameworks (including #laravel and #yii2), and with several CMSes (notably #craftcms and #expressionengine but i can also work in Wordpress). I've got SQL wizard skills and a deep focus on #a11y and solid, maintainable, semantic HTML and CSS on the front end. Please hire me!
I'm a dual US/Canadian citizen and prefer fully remote work but can also do in-office in Vancouver/the Lower Mainland area.
Shout out to the developer at JCOGS. Design (https://jcogs.net) We use their JCOGS Image add-on in ExpressionEngine 7. They are dedicated to making sure their clients are happy, keeping their add-ons as close to perfect as can be, and being empathetic to their clients' concerns and needs.
So nice to work with people who care about their clients and their products.
You might have to be a nerd to fully appreciate this, but regardless, this is seriously the best tech conference trailer video I've ever watched. I'm so excited about this event!
The attached shows the long blue pause is the index.php file in an EE7 site. This 'pause' is sometimes over 15 seconds. This happens during page update/create, implying a MySQL issue. Server has loads of spare resources, no errors in MySQL/Apache/PHP. This is random, sometimes it update/create is instant, sometimes delayed.
In the past I would lean on NewRelic to profile these requests, but I am wondering if there is something better or newer?
@Chris @DavidDarnes We used to use Drupal years ago but #ExpressionEngine has everything we want and more and it’s easier to use to boot. The new 7.5 Code Generators will even make templating absolutely trivial.
Not saying Drupal is bad, but #eecms doesn’t get the respect and attention it’s due. Since v5 it’s been rebuilt from the ground up so it’s also really modern. Worth checking out..
