Since its inception, Let’s Encrypt has been sending expiration notification emails to subscribers that have provided an email address to us via the ACME API. This service ended on June 4, 2025. The decision to end the service is the result of the following factors: Over the past 10 years more and more of our subscribers have been able to put reliable automation into place for certificate renewal. Providing expiration notification emails means that we have to retain millions of email addresses connected to issuance records.

Over the last week or so - we went through cabinets checking expiration dates on variety of things.

Food is the obvious thing to check...

But do you know that many medicines have expiration dates,, too? Yep - they do... And many are not really long... like a year or less.

At the rate I use things like Nyquil - I really need a small travel size container... those normal ones are a waste of ~3/4 of container. & $$.

Data on using #medications beyond their printed #ExpirationDates. TL;DR: the FDA requires a date at which it is guaranteed to have at least 90% of active drug. Many drugs retain full potency long past that. See article for a few specifics. #epinephrine #albuterol

I, for one, support anything that helps people realize most #expirationdates on packaged food are BS.
Reducing #foodwaste when people are going without food send like a no brainier to me.
