Boo! Everything Electric has just postponed the Sydney show 6 months (to September), and cancelled Melbourne's 2026 show, but say they will return to Melbourne.

I can't wait to see the Zeekr 7 GT when it arrives in its final form. Should be amazing.
(Existing version supports max 400 kW charging, AU version should include the 900 V architecture and support > 500 kW, which is all you'll ever need)
#EverythingElectric summary thread:
* Strong: Chinese brands (Leapmotor, Xpeng, Zeekr, BYD, Deepal, Geely, Farizon, Chery/Daecoo ...)
* Half-hearted: European brands (only Renault, Volkswagen, Fiat, Mercedes, Polestar*, Smart*, Lotus*)
* Poor: American brands (Tesla, Cadillac x1, Jeep x1)
* Very poor: Japanese brands (only Nissan, and one Mitsubishi Fuso truck)
* Mediocre: Korean brands (N/A)
Missing: Audi, BMW, Ford, GWM, Hyundai, Kia, KGM, Peugeot, Porsche, Suzuki, Toyota, ...

I have just been to #EverythingElectric in Melbourne #naarm.
Lots of new EV sedans and small SUV's. Not so much with the commercial vehicles. BYD shark (kinda EV), Renault eKangoo and possibly Traffic?, Farizon SV (supervan for some reason). All had a reasonable range, carrying capacity and power available on the cargo area.
VW ID buzz cargo no power in the cargo space, and $20k more than the competition.
Still no actual work utes, no cab chassis variants, no single cab version.
If there aren't the commercial varieties available how can businesses make the purchase. Get a BYD shark and then spend another $20k to modify it so you can start to build a useful work vehicle.
It looks like for now the vans and heavy trucks have the lead when it comes to commercial vehicles.
The prices are still quite high compared to smaller passenger vehicles, that have had significant price drops in the last 12 months.
This all makes the decision harder.
Maybe I'll just wait a bit longer.
