"Banned Al-Quds Day Demo, London".

2026.

In 2026, the annual Al-Quds day demo was banned by the British state after the state intervened to help the US and Israel attack Iran. The Starmer administration allowed a small, static "demonstration" of a few hundred who were to be surrounded by police from all over the country, prevented from marching, and only allowed two hours.

The demonstration is a conventionally a Palestinian solidarity one (al-Quds being the Arabic name for Jerusalem), and was in the context of the last few weeks against the Iran war. Some participants also commemorated the recently killed Iranian leader Khameini.

A #maths teacher in NW #England has been banned for 2 years for getting drunk at a workplace social outing to the point he consumed 10 pints ( 5760 ml ) of beer, attacked 2 police officers and a security guard, and got a suspended prison sentence!

He has to do 25 days rehabilitation activity and 200 hours of unpaid work.

you could make a maths question out of all this, but its probably a better lesson for PHSE and a warning of why overindulgence in #alcohol is a bad thing..
