You may have read the recent interviews/headlines with Elle MacPherson, and her claims that “natural therapies” cured her breast cancer. I groaned when I saw this, and it turns out my skepticism was well deserved.

Her claims are dangerously misleading, and can cause other people to delay or decline evidence-based treatment (resulting in poorer outcomes and even death).
