I watched a TPS espisode today about rotary cabinet pedals, and it got the sound in my head.
I remembered Greg Koch gets that kind of sound with a Jam chorus pedal, so I set my e/c/f pedal to do that. Fast, shallow modulation, short end of 500ms range, regen and mix at noon.

DigiTech is releasing an updated "Badder Monkey" pedal with a knob that sweeps between three different parallel distortion circuits.
It's a continous rotation knob with detentes and lugs at noon, 4, and 8 o'clock.
Where can I get a potentiometer like that? I don't know the correct term, so online search is hard.
Been meaning to post about this for sometime now. Our bass player got one of these, and it absolutely kills. Perfect 80s synth bass sounds; super quick, accurate tracking. He has tried everything else, and this is the best thing he's ever had on his board.
