The #SycamoreGap #tree really sad to hear about this.

1. for the loss of an iconic tree, one of too many!
2. for what was going on in this 16 year olds life to drive their action.
3. the utter human disconnect from the intrinsic value of a fully functioning natural environment.

Suprise, the new #StateOfNature report tells us we’re one of the most nature depleted countries in the world!

@epistatacadam we'd like to see, community tree nurseries open in every town, acting as green and social prescribing venues, outdoor classrooms, mapping tree planting opportunities with community co-production, seed collection and planting/ and vitally - their survival aftercare. This can cross over from urban to rural.
