Since I just migrated from another server, I'm reintroducing myself.

Hi, I'm a cultural and intellectual historian of early modern Britain and Scandinavia. Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford, looking at 18th-century scholarly culture and identity at the universities of Oxford and Copenhagen.

Hope to engage in interesting conversations on a wide range of subjects. Let's keep in touch!

#introduction Dear Mastodon, as a previous avid user of Twitter I hope that I can find the same community and spirit amongst everyone here!

I am a #PhD at Lund University, Sweden, currently writing my thesis on the Swedish Diplomatic System during three turbulent periods of Swedish history.

Introduction: I am an English professor at a small Appalachian university, and a #medievalist and #earlymodernist examining (mostly) the study of Old English in early modern England. Have also veered into medieval medicine and might keep on going.
Decided to attempt a non-flippant introduction to see where this goes. I am an #EarlyModernist interested in the intersections of #TheatreHistory and #BookHistory. I am currently working on a book called #PlaygoingTime. As part of this project I'm reading lots of interesting interdisciplinary work on #time and #temporality as well as theories of #media and #performance. It's a bit of a new venture for me and little more theoretical than my previous work but I am enjoying learning new things!
Hi all! I'm doing a second #introduction because I changed instances. I'm an #earlymodernist #DH #memorystudies #dancehistory scholar. I work on dance and the history of imagination, imaginary dances, and I critique historical settler colonial ideas about Indigenous dance. I also work on the history of the body and how dance cultures are historically entangled with theories of embodiment. Recently, I've been producing work on the history of somatics. #academictwitter #litodons #histodons
