I’ve been saying Apple’s 2015 typeface San Francisco (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/39620/san-francisco) should have been called something else to avoid usurping the 1984 Susan Kare classic (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/31774/san-francisco-1984).

Like maybe “Cupertino”.

But it turns out that was already taken in 1984 by a bitmap copy of Motter Tektura (https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/10214/motter-tektura)
