Scratch that. For the Californian law, a slippery slope is less likely, yes.

But for any place where such a law doesn't exist yet, the risk is very real.

They (e.g. stupid unelected EU Commission people) can/will use the fact that "OSes already have an age verification system in place" and try to push it further to make it mandatory for all 'account holders', not only child 'users'.

Urgh.

Given how hard #EPSO exams are, how quick you need to be to understand and apply the correct reasoning for all sorts of matters, I truly wonder how people working there came up with such a stupid and dangerous proposals like #ChatControl.

Therefore I would assume that most people working at the #EUCommission didn't get their job by succeeding these sorts of exams. They entered through much easier internal selection processes.
