February 19 is the annual #DayOfRemembrance in Japanese-American communities. It marks the incarceration of more than 120,000 people, 2/3 of them citizens, by a US gov & populace fueled by fear & racism. #EO9066 was a gross violation of human rights & the constitution in 1942, just as the detention actions unfolding now are. It has *never* been more important to show up.

@QasimRashid My father, aunt, and grandparents were incarcerated at #Topaz. I am *always* shocked that many US Americans have no idea this even happened. We are losing their stories...thank you for sharing this man's voice.
An internment camp during World War II was located where Griffith Park's Travel Town stands today. A sign was just placed at the site to document Griffith Park as one of those internment camps. Here's the full story:
