The #OpenSource Maintenance Instrument addresses a structural gap that has defined our work from the beginning: critical open source infrastructure creates public value, yet is often underfunded and institutionally fragile.
The strategy also calls for coordinating shared open #DigitalInfrastructure across Member States through the #DigitalCommons #EDIC. This work is already underway. The Sovereign Tech Agency has helped shape the #DCEDIC from day one... 2/

All of those sound like valid points.
Now if only #EU would recognise the importance of sovereign workspace and steer some resources towards implementation of these features.

The Dutch, French and German workspace teams were already working together on a Linux OS within the EDIC's 100 day challenges, but I don't think a choice for a distro has been made yet. 🇪🇺

We hit a huge milestone yesterday at the iBestuur conference 🔥 We showed the progress on #MijnBureau (opensource gov office suite) and #DAWO (Digitally Autonomous Workspace Gov).
MijnBureau is an initiative by @BZKopensource which promotes #opensource alternatives to big tech. DAWO handles underlying components, such as Linux desktops & phones. This is an #EDIC collaboration 🇪🇺
