They reference "back pressure" in their system. I've never heard of this term, in this context, and it's fairly intriguing.
I'm curious if anyone can better explain it in a technical sense of how it's achieved/implemented. I get the feeling it's just a fancy way of saying they started rejecting new authentication attempts. Is it just a "feature" within a message queuing service where if the bucket becomes too full they just reject/delay requests?
Overall, a fairly detailed write-up, I do appreciate their transparency with the issue.
