@Elucidating I think, you need to put down the #tinfoilhat for a second and realize that one cannot force someone to to mental & creative labour and one cannot force a company to buy/license/use your product/servixe or even contribute to it.

#ALDI for example saves themselves 4-5 digits in #MusicLicensing per store and month by just not playing music in their stores...

You cannot really license something as #FLOSS if you want to deny #GAFAMs the ability to use and capitalize it.

If you want them to pay then you better choose some #Shareware / #NonCommercial + #Commercial #DualLicense but then you've to also rely on #BSL-licensed #FLOSS or literally build your own tech stack...

#Copyleft is a double-edged sword and it's very naive to believe one can weaponize it against those companies...

Researching ways to improve screen readers is fun, but now, besides helping existing projects, I'll need to create new code and stuff, and I REALLY need to find decent #licenses, but the internet is a mess, and I can't find anything helpful.

I also stumbled upon BusyBox (GPL-2.0-or-later) vs Toybox (0BSD). Toybox is everywhere in Android, BusyBox not so much, but it's in #Debian.

I don't speak legalese, is there something like: https://rxjs.dev/operator-decision-tree ?

#GPL2orLater vs #0BSD vs #DualLicense?
