Me siento un poquito defraudado. Todo este tiempo me hablaron de que el FOSS era la única manera de que el software sea seguro, sólido y auditable. Open source, software libre, GPL, MIT...

Pero hay un **silencio** incómodo en la comunidad: no se habla casi nunca de las licencias Polyform. El código está disponible, puede auditarse y mejorarse. Tiene un sistema completo de opciones que cualquier creador valora, por ejemplo: "no puedes usar este software para competir contra mí y mis productos". Es razonable aunque ¿adivinen qué? Esto no le gusta a la gente del FOSS, que insisten en que "si no pueden competir contra ti porque lo creaste, entonces no es libre" (sí, a pesar de que sea transparente, seguro, lo usen gratis, lo puedan modificar, sea colaborativo y comunitario, eso no importa).

De mi parte, me siento más alineado con esta visión y estoy planteándome usar estas licencias (siento que son lo que buscaba):

Been working on an open source thing. yada yada yada - which license to pick? MIT is the obvious choice but has the big problem that it is ethically indifferent. If I do not want my project to be used for bad and evil things, what do I do?
