@Rycochet @soatok A small model running locally on consumer hardware is going to be a problem: they're useful and we control them. The general utility of *small* neural nets on consumer hardware is hard to deny.

So, obvious fallback plan: as long as we don't have the resources to *train* models, they still win.

As I was watching and it was talking about the seven, recent warehouse fires and how several of them explicitly declaim arson, it made me think back to the last few years buying-up of media outlets by billionaires.
