Officiating at a Scottish athletics championship in June: 12°C, pouring with rain, thunder and lightning; interspersed with spells of sunshine and clouds of steam rising from the track.
The only concession to the weather is high jump is indoors and everything was suspended for 20 mins when the lightning was directly overhead.
I can report with a great deal of confidence that it is persistently pouring in downtown Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Just the weather to walk the golden mile to the train station.
One of those Monday morning runs where it’s only drizzling very faintly when you set off, only for an Old Testament style deluge to blow in part way round.

Went to work this morning, had a coffee and watched it rain for a while, went home.
Whilst that might sound like a good result, I'll now have to work Saturday to catch up...
