This past weekend we went to the #GrandRapids #DowntownMarket and one of the vendors had a small amount of Guanciale. It’s pig cheek, and cooks much like bacon. Tonight we made Roman Pasta Carbonara, four ingredients: Pasta, Guanciale, Egg, and Parmesan Cheese. It makes a glorious meal, a little goes a long way! Some lovely Lake Michigsn Shore wine and it really is something wonderful! #cooking #italian #roman #carbonara #today
